MyEDROP enables efficient use of residual material, even when the scrap is irregularly shaped or contains holes and gaps. When time is tight, MyEDROP allows you to quickly produce a single part directly on the machine—without the need to create a new NC file.
A video camera inside the working area provides a live image of the actual remnant on the control panel. Using the touchscreen, the operator can drag, rotate, and drop the virtual outline of the part onto the image of the residual sheet to check if—and where—it fits.
The software prevents the operator from cutting a part that doesn’t fully fit within the available scrap. All of this can be done without the need for a programmer, making it an ideal metal cutting optimization software for small jobs or last-minute parts. The camera view can also be used to monitor the cutting process in real time.
